How does Moolah ensure the privacy and security of my financial data?

Updated this week

Moolah is dedicated to ensuring the highest levels of privacy and security for your data and financial information. This article explains the key measures we implement to protect your data, so you can use the app with confidence and peace of mind.

Encryption and Data Protection

At Moolah, your data is safeguarded using industry-leading encryption protocols during both transmission and storage. We also take it upon ourselves to collect the least amount of required data is humanly possible.

Anonymous Usage for Enhanced Privacy

We respect your privacy by allowing you to use Moolah completely anonymously. You don’t need to provide emails, usernames, passwords, or social authentication to access the app. We collect no personally identifiable information about our users. This reduces the risk of personal identity exposure while enabling you to securely connect your bank accounts, brokerages, and crypto wallets.

This is why to login or create an account on Moolah, we provide you with a backup code. This is a secret code that is the only way you can re-authenticate into the app, as we cannot provide you with recovery options, otherwise we'd be collecting PIID.

Plaid

We use Plaid (https://plaid.com) for financial account linking. Plaid does not provide us with any personal identifiable information. We only receive read-access to financial accounts, where we pull in current balances and historical trades (for investment accounts).
