Introduction
Moolah is committed to providing a secure and private experience for users. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to safely link your bank accounts, brokerages, and crypto wallets to Moolah.
How we ensure secure access
Moolah has partnered with Plaid (https://plaid.com/) to securely connect financial accounts. Plaid is the top intermediary, used by some of the top consumer finance apps such as Venmo, Zelle, Robinhood, American Express, Wells Fargo, and more.
When you initiate a Plaid connection, Moolah opens a secure web browser to Plaid, in which Plaid handles the signing in and connection of your financial accounts.
β
Plaid does not send us your name or any personal identifiable information. We only request access to your balances and historical trades (for investment accounts).
We do not require (or have access to) moving or withdrawing your funds. Moolah only receives read-access which can be removed any time by disconnecting your accounts in the Moolah app.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open the Moolah app on your device.
Tap and navigate to your profile
Select 'Connected Accounts'
Choose the type of account to connect: Bank Account, Brokerage, or Crypto Wallet.
If you selected Bank or Brokerage, Moolah will open a secure web session to Plaid. Enter your account login credentials and connect your account(s) to Plaid. Plaid will then provide us (Moolah) read only access.
If you selected a Crypto wallet (Ethereum or Solana), we will provide you with a unique link to open on your mobile or desktop browser. From there, we ask for a signature to prove ownership of the wallet. This is a read-only signature and no actual transaction will be pushed to the blockchain.
