Introduction
Moolah is a secure and anonymous social app that enables users to create accounts without personal identifiers such as emails, usernames, or passwords. Because of this anonymity, recovering or resetting your profile requires a specific backup code.
Why Profile Recovery is Different on Moolah
Unlike traditional apps, Moolah does not use conventional login credentials. This commitment to privacy means that profile recovery depends entirely on recovery methods you set up within the app. If you lose your device or uninstall the app without saving your backup code, there's nothing Moolah support can do.
Saving your Backup Code
To protect your anonymous profile, make sure to save your backup code by either:
Storing it on pen & paper: Best practices means storing your backup code offline, on pen and paper.
iCloud / cloud backup: While slightly less secure but more convenient, you can easily backup your code to iCloud or another cloud provider.
Steps to Recover Your Profile
If you have your backup code saved:
Make sure the Moolah app is installed on your new or reset device.
Open the app and select "Sign In."
Enter the backup code and click Sign In.
You should now have successfully logged back into your account.
What to Do if You Lose Access Without The Backup Code
Due to Moolah’s commitment to anonymity and lack of traditional credentials, if you did not save your backup code and lose access to your device or uninstall the app, unfortunately, your profile cannot be recovered or reset. You will need to create a new profile.
